Everton odds head Steven N’Zonzi next club tips and betting
FootyOn give Steven N’Zonzi next club tips as Everton odds feature prominently in the betting market on his future.
Former Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City midfielder Steven N’Zonzi has been linked with a Premier League return this winter.
Press reports both in Britain and abroad say the France anchorman has fallen out of favour at current club Sevilla.
After finally breaking into his national team, N’Zonzi has his sights sets on playing for Les Bleus at the World Cup finals in Russia next summer.
If frozen out in Spain, then he needs a move in the January transfer window, but who is interested?
Read on as we reveal our Steven N’Zonzi next club tips…
Allardyce appointment explains short Everton odds
New Everton manager Sam Allardyce coached N’Zonzi at Blackburn and is reportedly keen to link up with him again.
While some Toffees fans feel another holding player isn’t the priority or problem at Goodison Park, Big Sam has a track record of bringing acolytes with him.
Current Notts County boss Kevin Nolan, who captained Bolton Wanderers, Newcastle United and West Ham United under Allardyce, is an example.
Everton odds head BetVictor‘s betting on where N’Zonzi will go next at 4/1.
Compatriot Morgan Schneiderlin or Republic of Ireland midfielder James McCarthy could make way for him on Merseyside.
Leicester City also looking
Former Premier League champions Leicester City and their French boss Claude Puel are also linked with N’Zonzi.
The Foxes have been light in midfield since the deadline day sale of Danny Drinkwater to Chelsea.
Portugal counterpart Adrien Silva signed as a replacement, but the paperwork came through after the window had shut.
While Silva is free to make his debut in January, Leicester still seek additions to the engine room.
Could other Premier League sides pounce?
Struggling West Ham, meanwhile, are 8/1 to bring N’Zonzi to London ahead of Watford, West Bromwich Albion, Newcastle and Crystal Palace (all 12/1).
Italian champions Juventus are the same price as Principality outfit Monaco to snap him up too (also both 12/1).
Links to heavyweight Premier League quartet Arsenal (10/1), Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United (all 16/1) have crept up as well.
Whether any of these club’s needs in defensive midfield match those towards the head of the betting is doubtful, however.
N’Zonzi needs regular first-team football and getting that at these destinations is far from certain.
PSG look overpriced
Given Unai Emery was in charge at Sevilla when N’Zonzi signed for them, it’s surprising to see his current club PSG so big in the betting.
The Parisians are short on deeper-lying midfielders with little cover for the ageing Thiago Motta, Adrien Rabiot and Marco Verratti.
Emery has gone back to Sevilla before, signing Poland anchorman Grzegorz Krychowiak in 2016.
While that move to the Parc des Princes didn’t work out, N’Zonzi returning to his native France is possible.
PSG look overpriced in the betting on his future.
