Eric Dier next club tips
FootyOn pick out Eric Dier next club tips, in light of reports that he is set for summer move.
The Tottenham star has been in fine form once again this season, showing his versatility at centre back and defensive midfield.
Dier has also firmly cemented his place in England’s starting XI, having played the full 90 minutes in each of their last six internationals.
So will he leave White Hart Lane at the end of the season?
If he does, read our Eric Dier next club tips for the main contenders to sign him before September 3rd.
Manchester United – 4/1
The mega rich Red Devils are favourites to sign a whole host of players this summer, including Dier.
Jose Mourinho has already begun his squad overhaul, particularly in midfield by offloading Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Michael Carrick, meanwhile, is coming towards the end of his career.
With attacking minded midfielders such as Paul Pogba, Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini on their books, they’ll need someone to balance that up.
Dier would certainly fit the bill, and Man Utd would easily be able to afford his reported £40m price-tag.
Manchester City – 8/1
Just like brothers, whatever United want, their Manchester neighbours City will keep a close eye on too.
It seems that Yaya Toure’s Citizens tenure is finally coming to an end, and Pep Guardiola has stated he is keen to bring in English talent.
Being one the higher profile Three Lions stars around, he would be a great addition to an already star-studded side.
Dier would have the likes of fellow English young-guns Raheem Sterling and John Stones for company.
And, being fluent in Portuguese, he’d be able to easily communicate with Brazilian trio Fernando, Fernandinho and Gabriel Jesus.
Chelsea – 12/1
Potential 2016/17 Premier League champions Chelsea are in danger of being faced with a dearth of English players too.
They of course have a number of Samba Boys as well in David Luiz, Willian and Kenedy, as well as Brazilian-born Spain striker Diego Costa (if he decides to stay).
Chelsea are an outside choice, given that they already have top defensive midfielders in N’Golo Kante and Nemanja Matic.
But with Dier able to play at the back too, he could be very useful for Antonio Conte in his three-man central defence formation.
Bayern Munich – 16/1
Would Dier go abroad? He’s done it before, having been brought up in Portugal and going on to play for Sporting Lisbon.
Bayern have a history of signing British players too, with the likes of Owen Hargreaves, Alan McInally and Mark Hughes all having played for them.
Most recently, London-born Chima Okoroji – now 19 – was on their youth books until 2015.
Dier is of similar ilk to Hargreaves, who Bayern fans will remember fondly.
