The 35-year-old hitman became the oldest player to net 15 Premier League goals when dispatching past Leicester City.
Many questioned whether the self-proclaimed “God of Manchester” could cut it in the top-flight in his mid 30s.
Though, he has proved all of his doubters wrong so far under Jose Mourinho’s reign.
So, in light of his latest career milestone, FootyOn look back at the oldest Premier League goalscorers in history.
Peter Schmeichel (37 years and 337 days)
Ibrahimovic is relishing his time at Old Trafford, but former goalkeeper Schmeichel achieved legendary status there in his career.
The Danish shot stopper wasn’t only sublime between the sticks. He also had a keen eye for goal from set-pieces when arriving in the opposition penalty area.
Schmeichel wrote himself into the history books when becoming one of the oldest scorers ever in the top tier in October 2001. He was 37 years of age at the time.
Gary Speed (37 years and 351 days)
Welsh hero Speed also features in the top 10.
The former Newcastle United and Bolton Wanderers midfielder struck in August 2007 at the age of 37. Though, he was 14 days older than Schmeichel.
Mick Harford (38 years and 35 days)
Currently the chief recruitment officer at Luton Town, Harford enjoyed an impressive playing career.
The Sunderland-born striker played for both the Black Cats and Newcastle.
Although, it was at the formerly known Wimbledon that he netted a Premier League goal at the age of 38 in March 1997.
Kerimoglu Tugay (38 years and 99 days)
Famous for his impressive eight-year stint with Blackburn Rovers, Tugay was a hero at the club.
The Turkish midfielder was highly regarded for his many wonder strikes in the top-flight.
In November 2008, he struck past Portsmouth to make the top 10 oldest Premier League goalscorers. This was his final career strike.
Mark Hughes (38 years and 150 days)
Former Manchester United finisher Hughes also cracked the top 10 oldest top tier finishers.
The Welshman’s goal at 38 back in March 2002 for Blackburn Rovers saw him achieve this feat.
Graham Alexander (38 years and 183 days)
In April 2010, former Burnley defender Alexander became the fifth oldest top-flight goalscorer.
The Scottish versatility player struck at the age of 38, before departing Turf Moor for Preston North End.
He now resides at Scunthorpe United as manager.
Stuart Pearce (38 years and 216 days)
Previous England international defender Pearce was regarded for his aggressive approach rather than scoring goals.
Although, the former Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United tackler later moved to West Ham United.
It was in east London that he struck at 38 years old in November 2000 to write himself into the history books.
Ryan Giggs (39 years and 87 days)
Another Man Utd legend next.
Welshman Giggs netted in February 2013 to become the third oldest scorer in the division’s history.
He also lifted 13 league titles and holds the record for most top-fight assists.
Dean Windass (39 years and 236 days)
As well being second oldest scorer in the Premier League, he also boasts being Hull City’s oldest marksman.
The former frontman enjoyed a career which spanned two decades.
Teddy Sheringham (40 years and 268 days)
Topping the list of oldest Premier League goalscorers ever is Sheringham.
Back in December 2006, he beat his own record for being the oldest ever top tier scorer against Portsmouth.
While at West Ham he also broke the record for being the oldest Premier League outfield player.
