Portugal on the other hand won last time out and remain unbeaten.
This will be the first time these two nations have faced each other, so read on for our New Zealand v Portugal tips…
Portugal to win by one goal
Only twice did Portugal score more than once in a game during their successful Euro 2016 campaign.
And, most recently the Navigators held Russia to a clean sheet, with Cristiano Ronaldo netting the goal that saw them bag three points.
This, combined with a supremely solid defence led by experienced duo Jose Fonte and Pepe, makes scoring against Santos’ men difficult.
Though, you would have expected Portugal to put plenty past Russia given their firepower, they managed just one.
They seemed content and confident in defending a one-goal lead after finding the net through all-time leading scorer Ronaldo.
Goalkeeper Rui Patricio can be bullish facing the Kiwis too, having scored just one in their last four outings.
Navigators to win first half 1-0
Portugal have scored at least one first-half goal in each of their games this calendar year.
Last time out, Ronaldo had got the winning goal within eight minutes of the first whistle to beat Russia.
In fact, in two of New Zealand’s last four outings they have been down 1-0 going into the break.
Be sure to back the Navigators to head into half-time 1-0 up at 21/10 with betway.
Kiwis concede within 10 minutes
In two of Portugal’s last four matches, they have scored within 10 minutes of play beginning.
Last time out Ronaldo scored inside 10 mins, while Joao Moutinho make his mark with a free-kick against Cyprus in the third minute to put his nation ahead.
Santos’ men have eyes on the final, so expect his side to come out flying and get the job done early.
Sky Bet are offering a 11/4 special on Portugal scoring in the first 10 minutes, so be sure to snap it up.
