Bayern Munich v Arsenal tips
FootyOn pick out top Bayern Munich v Arsenal tips for the Wednesday evening Champions League last 16 first leg clash at the Allianz Arena.
Wednesday, February 15th, 19:45 GMT kick-off, live on BT Sport 2.
This fixture is becoming as common as a domestic league double header.
The Bavarians and Gunners have been drawn together three times in the last four seasons in the Champions League – either in group or knockout – and now ready themselves for another two leg showdown.
So, read on to find out our Bayern Munich v Arsenal tips…
Draw in Deutschland
Bayern had a poor start to the Bundesliga, but have overtaken surprise soarers RB Leipzig in recent weeks after going on a nine-match unbeaten run – winning eight.
Arsenal on the other hand have gone the other way in terms of form. Having started promisingly, they now find themselves 10 PL points off leaders Chelsea.
However, the Gunners are undefeated in this year’s CL, as they topped Group A ahead of PSG. While Bayern finished behind Atletico Madrid in Group C.
So, with that in mind, and with Arsenal drawing two of their pool games – both with the Parisians – back another share of the spoils here at 7/2 with BetVictor.
Both teams to score
Of the two teams’ total 10 Champions League meetings, they have both scored in exactly five – one per tie.
Three of those were in Germany – including the last two.
So, with the duo arguably being most similar in standard than they’ve been in years, back them both to score again at 4/5 with Betfair.
Giroud to score anytime
He may not be the most popular striker among Arsenal fans at times, but you can’t argue that Oliver Giroud hasn’t scored the odd important goal for the north Londoners.
The Frenchman seems to come alive on the bigger stage, and particularly against Bayern.
Giroud has three goals in five appearances against the German giants, including two last season.
He has also netted five in the last seven in the Premier League, and has scored twice in two starts in the CL.
So, odds of 5/2 with Betfred for him to be on target anytime again look very tasty.
